A Return on Investment Calculator

Requirement
Our client came to us wanting their prospective clients to know out of their range of 30+ product which product was best suited for them and why. Our client also wanted their clients' to know about the Return on Investment (ROI) over a 5 year period on these products. Our client wanted this to be done as part of their existing website which was built in Wordpress.
Level of Difficulty
There was no ready made solution, which is to say NO 3rd party plugin was available & NEITHER any 3rd party plugin could be modified.
Difficulty Level
HTML
JavaScript
JQuery
PHP

Our Challenge
Our biggest challenge was to incorporate the calculation logic & to make it dynamic in Wordpress.

Solution
Had to be a custom one.
We developed a user friendly, multi screen, closed ended, Real time ROI calculator. The ROI calculator is a smooth scroll, Closed-ended multiple choice question mechanism. It gives the respondents predefined answer options to opt from, thus extracting the exact information from the customer.
In the end the calculator based on the requirement suggested which product/s is/are best suited for them. It also based on certain logic provided a 5-year overview on profit and savings from using the products. The result provided a summary as well as a detailed break up under various headings.

Key Coding Milestone
The level of coding is most complex and required our very best and experienced to work on it.Using custom Jquery we created a Smooth Scroll ROI calculator.Using Custom PHP the calculation logic was made dynamic & the results displayed in tab control. A single consolidated downloadable pdf merging all the separate results is generated using custom PHP . All this was done within the Wordpress Architecture without any modification to the Wordpress core files thus keeping the site security impregnable.
