A Customised Mega Menu
Requirement
The client came to us with a very specific requirement - To show 30+ Products under a menu in a single click - single view event. The client also wanted to display image & text for each product within the menu area. Since there were more than 30 products they had to be categorised under Main Category--- Sub Category & Product.
Level of Difficulty
There was no ready made solution, which is to say NO 3rd party plugin was available. NEITHER could any 3rd party plugin modified to provide the solution.
Our Challenge
Our biggest challenge was to display the corresponding product text and image which changed on mouse hover when on any menu item. This is some thing which is impossible to find in Wordpress plugins.
Solution
Had to be a custom one.
We created a 4 Level customised Mega Menu in a Horizontal display.
Key Coding Milestone
The level of coding is most complex and required our very best and experienced to work on it.Using custom Jquery and custom php we created the 4 - Level Horizontal Mega Menu. All this was done within the Wordpress Architecture without any modification to the Wordpress core files thus keeping the site security impregnable
